How Do you Feel about Attending Church?

Do I care about what anyone thinks about religion? No.
I have another unrelated story.

When I and my sister were very young my parents took us to a church every week.  We had no choice because probably my parents were praying that my sibling and I would not get in trouble and end up as good people... Ya gotta be kidding! They were still trying when I was sixteen and was still supposed to because I couldn't figure a way to get my needed food and escape.

Do I think that religion and Churches are connected in any way? No. I still know how anyone thinks of their particular religion but I did understand the basic reasons for churches. I have an old blog that covers how I had learned to get what I wanted.[2] As you might see, it was easy.
I did learn some of the same things in high school (and other levels) about how individual people, governments/diplomacy, churches and companies were in fact, all connected and that has always been financial business.

As always my brain and therefore my thinking process has always been backwards according to any witnesses. So, I'll tell you this story in my usual aspect or idiosyncrasy.

This particular church was very large. In the middle of its architectural blueprint, there was a smaller building. God didn't have any idea what it was for. I did.

As a younger teen I did a lot for this church in order to gain some experience that I thought might be useful for getting a paying job later on. A small one was repairing a non-working electricity providing engine and generator for something. The larger process was the development of a keying system on unavailable computers and then doing all of the work involving re-keying about 150 Schlage keys and locks. So much for my minimum appreciated effort while donating my effort for this church.

Instead God insisted that now I owed her more cash on a regular schedule. I did handle this problem in other ways that night be appreciated by the CEO of EXON or any less paid congress people elected.

I'll try to ignore any details for this story. I had this church's unused-building's basement. The main reason that I wanted it was because traditional parents were delighted to allow their good girls to attend a nothing party with perfectly innocent boys every Wednesday evening. Hmmmm....

I have forgotten what the boss of most churches was called but I told him, “Ya know. You have plenty of important motives for running the church to be at least financially successful to guarantee its own future survival. If you can continue to invite the younger generation for having an entertaining place here they might continue later by donating some of their hard worked money.”

“How would you do that? He replied”

“It's simple enough for you.” I said to our minister. “Let me clean the junk out of that basement, paint it black except one priceless mural and build a stage for some music.” That was the simple part. Did I understand how teenagers' brains work? Yep but I have no idea why. Here was a place where we could meet with our music as loud as we want it and no parents or older people ever visiting us. Why? We wanted to join with people that didn't like older people because we just wanted to do something bizarre or completely new.

I'll cut this story to cover some of the strangest things that sporadically occurred in this place we called the Pit after I also came up with a pool table and a very good sound application system from somewhere unexpectedly.

Some people had nothing to do with religion or the church but with Hell there is a lot more I can cover. The truth is most kids didn't like religion or much of anything but I bet they'll always remember THIS church and its Hell in the pit.[1]
The small pit held about forty or fifty people and there was music reproduced from records and tapes. Also, there were pool games every Wednesday. I had the master key to this entire church simply because there were no bathrooms in the basement. No windows either.

In about 1974 there was a guy that I had met who was in Long Beach briefly that summer so he agreed with me about coming down to hell and practicing the song schedule for his next concert without the rest of the band and no one else knew that he might be there one night that week. I didn't know Mick Jagger but I did know this other guy who played in a different way.

Like I said, no one smoked in hell but this following guy certainly did.
He called himself Bob

References or notes:
[1] Did hell's available property area increase? Yep. I had keys to the room above the pit for a reason, there were no bathrooms in the basement. The parties on Wednesday evening additionally became a breakfast for about a dollar early on Fridays. These days there are always movies coming out and there were no businesses in those times providing movies other than theaters. On the other hand, you could get these movie reels from the library for free. All you also needed was a rather expensive projector that we used in schools.

In 1974, here are a few examples of religious movies what we watched with our breakfast:

[2] I don’t think religion or church or government are connected? A long time ago, I did go to a church because I didn’t have a choice. I did learn how to pick locks, play pool, listen to Bob Marley’s Reggae band, and worse things. Sometime today I’ll make previous blogs public.

Teenaged Girls in Admired Clothes

Do I Know what the Majority of Women Think About?    Not Much!

When I was fourteen years old I felt that I was already grown up. Of course that was only my stupid opinion but I had already learned a few things that haven't changed. Here's a simple version.
At that time, all I wanted was girls and cars. Those are easier than ruling the world and becoming the president who is only required to be liked by 51% of the U.S. Population.
All teenagers are just like the president. They must like and approve of themselves and, more importantly, what other teenagers in your particular “club” think about you. This is the same for both sexes.
Don't lie to anyone. Otherwise, give them what everyone does want(?).
One night at a scheduled party or social meeting I confronted a woman (aged 14-16) who was wearing anything and asked me, “What do you think about this one?”

I replied quickly, “Why are you wearing that one? What are your intentions? A fun party? A great date maybe taken out to a very nice expensive restaurant? Do you want a good and respected job from a good company's manager?”
If you're looking for a friend who has a benchmark for your exterior appearance, it doesn't matter. There are better ones.

“That one looks kind of crappy”

“Dammit!” She replied. “And your opinions are shitty too.”

Even professional - comedians have classical wonderful, funny and easy material. The funniest thing on the entire planet is everyone.

I added. “Now that you're fourteen, nobody cares how you dress. 90% of us are broke too.”

Finally, here's the important part in my opinion.
The next time I saw her she was wearing something else. It isn't important what type she was wearing but I said (And I don't ever lie), “That's hot - and more importantly, “You look hot in those clothes.”

If you are fifteen years old and you seem able to read people's minds, it's actually easier then you think.

In two weeks I saw her again. This time she was wearing the same thing when I last saw her and had said, “You look hot in those clothes.”[1]
In 1970's exorbitantly priced $9.99 for Levis blue jeans. Not these. Since then, increased 1000%. (In 2015)
P.S.
Was that story a miracle?    They happen.

References or notes (only one tonight):
[1] In the 70's following Woodstock, no one had a cell phone and fewer actually had cameras. Instead I found this example on the net and that's all. If you look for these type of pictures you'll end up on the governments' pedophile file. Before that happens to me I also want to point out that I was fifteen with an eighteen year old girlfriend. Think about it. Which way was legal?

Part of My Education History

Prevent Food Theft

I have gotten two degrees from a university that I have mentioned previously [1] . The first degree is unimportant in this tale. The second one was a biology pre-med. That's the one that was used for the following dormitory success or ascendancy. In those old-days there were 6 small single story dorm houses that each held about 20-30 unisex residents.
For some reason my college education didn't include many drugs or alcohol with a minor exception following our "finals" exams three times a year.
Proceeding with our education required these things in our dorm room: Stereo, TV, refrigerator and typewriter (there were no PC's then).

Does anyone ever borrow anything from others refrigerators?
I put anything I wanted cold in my refrigerator which had the following note attached to its front door with magnets. Biology major. Bact lab standbys[2,3]. I scattered a few of these things around visibly obvious in my refrigerator.

               That sign worked.
A perfectly comfortable home for any nasty microscopic monsters like bacteria, fungi or viruses. The roof on this dish prevents them from finding another home or inviting other residents. The evil monsters love the taste of this Jello. I've never tried it.

No one ever stole anything from my refrigerator.

References or notes:
[1] In a previous blog I have mentioned my uni-sex dorms which were intended
AND instead, the multi-Sex bathrooms were "designed" by some majority of female students.

[2] Colleges, the CDC and other bad government-controlled things have biological labs that are carefully isolated from the rest of the world. They attempt to ID and develop vaccinations, weapons, or anti-weapons. The labs in my university were only growing buds that were relatively not dangerous.
The picture on the right are what I would called a disaster. Jobs like doctors, cops, CDC lab technicians and the people who build nuclear bombs are told to work very carefully. In our school the grade for this class was an "F". Was that our worst result? In our school we had a nuclear reactor in the basement of the physics building and we asked ourselves, "Do you think they allow people in here like us?"
